Douglas is the founder and chairman of Douglas Telecom in California, and has invested in IMAX, American Superconductor, Monster Beverages, Westport Innovations, Jos. A. Bank, Stamps.com, and SilverBirch Energy. He is a passive investor who identifies big secular trends, followed by a handful of companies that he believes will benefit from those trends. He takes large stakes in them, and sits tight for the long-term.
